It is only issued to Swedish citizens and indicates the citizenship. The national identity card is equipped with a contact chip ready to function as an electronic identity card (eID) at a later date, and also a contactless RFID chip at the bottom right of the rear sidecontaining a digital representation of the printed data along with the photograph of the holder. The card can be used for travelling to European Union and staying in European countries. For travel outside the Eu you will need to get the Finland passport.
